This lovely prang is part of Wat Kasatthirat, located on the riverbank just west of Ayuthaya. The painted stucco exterior of this relatively recent structure may indicate how the ancient temples once looked. Ayuthaya's temples were all built of brick with stucco coverings which have been mostly destroyed.
